We're heading out tomorrow for our annual trip. We are planning to head for Southeast Utah and Southwest Colorado. At a minimum we are planning to visit Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Natural Bridges National Moument and Mesa Verde National Park. We have visited all of these in the past but not in several years and they are all worth multiple visits. We are also hoping to ride Potash Road which is a 17 mile ride (34 mile round trip) located just 4 miles outside of Moab. Assuming the weather works out, we may also try the Million Dollar Highway that goes from Silverton, CO to Ouray, CO.
We're a little worried about weather. There have been numerous fires in the South and Southwest as well as rain and flash floods in both the Grand Canyon amd Zion National Park. That being said, it appears to be curretly clear where we're heading.
It's currently Saturday night and we leave tomorrow morning so this trip kind of snuck up on us so I'm sort of behind on our preperation but I'll have time in the evenings as we go to clean things up a little.| Day 01 - 9/6/2026 | Everett, WA to La Grande, OR |
